Super Mandy: Raising money to help young adults with depression

In November 2009, Mandy Lindsay sadly completed suicide at the age of 24.  After her death, her family set up the Super Mandy fund to raise money for us to help other young adults with depression in her home area of South Lanarkshire.

Since 2009, Mandy Lindsay’s family and friends have been working hard to raise funds for Action on Depression. They have climbed the three highest peaks in the UK and swum, run and cycled many miles. They packed people’s shopping, sung at a karaoke night, organised a race night and much more to raise money.

At the time of writing (June 2011) they have raised over £30,000 and fundraising is still continuing.  NHS Lanarkshire and North and South Lanarkshire councils have also added to this figure.  Show your support for Super Mandy on Facebook.
